Quote

When my daughter was about seven years old, she asked me one day what I did at work. I told her I worked at a college -- that my job was to teach people how to draw. She stared at me, incredulous, and said, "You mean they forget?" --Howard Ikemoto

Our guest artist this month, Bev . . .

Bev is a watercolourist from Emu Park.
She studies under the guidance of tutor Brian Kehoe, who we had the pleasure of meeting earlier this year. (Brian tutored us in a 1 day workshop in drawing 'unconventionally')

Bev showed us her beautiful watercolour paintings & we were blown away as she displayed them one after the other!
Thank you for sharing your works, Bev, with our group.
We look forward to having you visit us again soon :)

Sketch Day at 'Greycliffe Homestead'

What a great day we had yesterday at Greycliffe Homestead!
Our lovely ladies enjoyed the atmosphere of this historical building, stepping back in time to the late 1800's early 1900's.

Here are some photos which capture the 'essence' of living in that era on Greycliffe Homestead.
Our guide, Tina, from the Banana Shire Historical Committee was kind enough to show us through and provided us with interesting information on the Nott family who lived there.

What a fascinating place! A 'must see' if you are ever visiting our lovely town, Biloela :)

After the tour we enjoyed morning tea with our guest artist from Emu Park, Bev, showing us her beautiful watercolour paintings.

Then it was off to find the perfect spot for some serious sketching :)
