BAVA learns Encaustics!

Sydney Artist, Mo Godbeer flew up to Biloela on the weekend to teach 11 eager students the art of encaustic painting! The two day RADF funded workshop covered everything for a beginner to encaustic painting from preparation of the medium and paint to effects using collage, adding texture to shellac burns, image transfers and how to set up and work in an encaustic studio safely.

Students enjoyed this workshop immensely and hopefully we shall see many encaustic artworks in this region in the future.
