Welcome to our website!

BAVA are a group of artists ranging from beginners, intermediate to professional . . . focusing on supporting and developing the talents of local artists to benefit the cultural community of the Banana Shire.


We organize and co-ordinate various workshops through the year and are active participants in cultural events such as the annual Brigalow Arts Festival, Callide Valley Show and individual and combined exhibitions through out the Banana Shire.


We provide information on our calendar of events including workshops, art competitions and Flying Arts details.

Maria Wiley Mini Workshop

Thank you BAVA ladies for making last Saturday, my first teaching of a workshop ... such a pleasurable experience! 

I thoroughly enjoyed  sharing some great texture techniques I'd learned last year from Gary Reef ... being a 'Mini' workshop with only around 5 hours it meant we had to get through the 4 techniques pretty quickly ... I'm happy to say all my 'students' (haha that gives me such a buzz) did a great job! Some WIPS were taken home to be completed at a later stage and from the positive feedback I'm receiving ... I am sure you will be able to incorporate them into your future artwork!
